Starting just outside the town of Sami, the route begins at Antisamos Beach, known for its turquoise waters and natural beauty. From there, you can explore picturesque coves between the villages of Karavomilos and Agia Effimia. Among them, Agia Paraskevi stands out as the only organized beach, offering the perfect setting for a relaxing day. The beach features sun loungers placed both on the sand and in a green garden, shaded by tee-pee-style tents. You\u2019ll also find delicious food available here, making it a great spot to spend the entire day. Myrtos is also one of the best spots to witness a stunning sunset, and the descent to the beach offers panoramic views of the entire bay. However, we recommend exercising caution, as the beach is known for its strong waves.<\/p>\n The road from Myrtos to Asos is nothing short of spectacular, and we recommend planning your trip to arrive near sunset. Though only a handful of locals live here today, the village has been lovingly preserved and feels like stepping into a painting.<\/p>\n The name \u201cAsos\u201d comes from an ancient Doric Greek dialect, meaning \u201cisland.\u201d While evidence of ancient settlements exists, the village is first mentioned in the 16th century during the Venetian occupation of Kefalonia.
